1 month check-up Date: 03/03/2008
Juliann had her 1 month check-up today at her new pediatricians office. It went really well and I like the office a lot. The nurse practitioner said she was in the 10-25% for weight and 25-50% for height. They also gave us the go ahead to let her wake us up to feed at night-YAY! The doctor said that she looks great and to keep doing what we are doing for her! We go back for another check-up in a month.

Welcome Juliann-Date: 02/14/2008
Juliann Ridings Ellington was born on February 1, 2008 at 8:01 pm. She was very determined to join us, as she was 3 weeks early and mom's labor lasted less than 3 hours! Aside from jaundice, she is healthy and doing well.Over the past 2 weeks, she has been to the doctor almost every day to get a heel stick. This checked the levels of her jaundice. Due to high biliruben levels, she was on a biliblanket for over 11 days. She had to lie on a florescent lamp which helped to break down the biliruben in her body. Today her levels were low enough that we were able to say goodbye to the biliblanket! We are now able to hold Juliann without her lamp-what a wonderful feeling! We go back to the doctors on Friday to check her levels again, but we're optimistic that her jaundice has cleared. Tomorrow she will also be 2 weeks old! Welcome Juliann!
