Check-up

We had Juliann's 15 month check up on Monday and she's officially over 20 pounds! We're allowed to turn her car seat around (although we haven't gotten to it just yet) since she weighed in at 20lbs 13oz and was 30.5 in. She's still only in the 15% for weight but is now almost 50% for height! She checked out fine-in fact, the doctor said she was the picture of good health and was developmentally right on track. :) The only downside to the check-ups are the shots. She got 2 and was not a happy camper. In addition, she's got 2 molars coming in, making her a little more fussy than usual. I don't blame her though-I'm sure it hurts.

She seems to be hitting lots of milestones lately, some good and some not so much fun. She's like a parrot-saying new words all the time. And she's learned how to get down the stairs (see the pics below) although we don't let her go up or down that one of us is not right there with her. She's also going through a "mommy phase" where she wants me ALL THE TIME. Makes it challenging to cook dinner, get dressed, go to the bathroom even! I honestly can't leave the room that she's not yelling, "mommy, mommy" and following me. If she catches me, she grabs a hold of my legs, sticks her head through them, and won't let go! It's even worse when I drop her off at the sitters. I feel bad for Jenny some mornings because Jules screams like she's being hurt. There are times when its cute but its also a challenge!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the warmer weather. We're looking forward to spending some time with our families over the Memorial Day Holiday and getting out on the lake. Let's hope the warm, sunny weather continues!
