Weekend Fun!

Our last few weekends have been busy but fun! Two weekends ago we went down to UVa on Saturday and had lunch on the lawn with some friends. Juliann enjoyed seeing all the people but is still not too sure about grass. I think its a texture thing and hope she gets over it soon! We might have an interesting time at the beach this year if not! On Sunday we drove down to Amherst to see my cousins from Pennsylvania, who were down visiting Grandma Sugars. They just had their second son, Abraham, now 9 weeks old and wanted my grandmother to meet him. We don't get to see them very often so decided to make the 2 hour trip down for the day. Juliann enjoyed seeing Caleb, 3, but was far more interested in the baby. She just wanted to hug and kiss him and would fuss when we'd pull her away! Too cute! Hopefully she'll be this way with a little sibling eventually!

School was over for me that week so I got to enjoy the start of my summer and extra time at home with Juliann. She'll only be going to the sitters once a week over now while I tutor a few students. We also went to the pool a few times during the week and she's starting to get better with water. Last summer she was a true water baby but the last few months has been terrified of water, specifically the bath. However, after a few pool trips she is coming around to the idea of taking a bath. Let's hope it continues!

We had more than enough to keep us busy this weekend too. I had a school party on Friday and then spent Saturday celebrating Patrick and Kristin's engagement. Juliann was a huge hit at the party and absolutely loves all the attention she gets. She was dancing to the music and made lots of new friends! Unfortunately we don't have many pictures from this weekend but do have plenty from our UVa trip. Hope this post finds everyone well and happy summer!
