Life with 2 kids hasn't been as bad as I had imagined. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I'm not as frazzled as I thought I'd be and have gotten more sleep than I did after Juliann was born. Joselynn wasn't nearly as jaundice as Juliann was so she's been able to go 2-3 hours between feedings whereas Juliann had to be fed every 2 hours around the clock for the first month. Not to mention breastfeeding is going MUCH better this time around. Jules didn't want to wake up to eat (again, thanks to the jaundice) and also had issues latching on so we had to syringe feed (meaning I pumped then we had to feed her) so the process was so much longer. Joselynn is a power nurser and is usually done in 10-15 minutes which means more sleep for mommy and daddy during those night time feedings. Joselynn also likes sleep (thank you Lord!) and usually goes right back down. She's also addicted to the paci and as long as she's got it, she's happy. And to top it off, Juliann has transitioned so well from only child to big sister. Sure, she's had a few meltdowns here and there, but come on, she's also 2! In fact, her love of her little sister is a little frustrating at times. For example, she can't wake up in the morning or from a nap without immediately wanting to see her baby sister. While this is sweet, its not so much fun when she wakes Joselynn from a sound sleep! And she wants to help ALL the time, even if her idea of helping actually causes more problems! But its absolutely precious to watch how Juliann reacts to Joselynn and its amazing to see how much she loves her little sister already! I can't wait to see how they interact in a few months. :)
