18 months!

Josie turned 18 months old on September 23rd-that's crazy! Where has the freakin' time gone and how is my baby now only 6 months from being 2 years old?  She went for her 18 month check-up today and weighed in at 22 lbs 10 oz, putting her in the 25th% and was 31 and 3/4 inches tall, putting her in the 50%.  She is in such a fun stage right now and keeps us on our toes! She has changed so much in the past few months and I've been horrible about posting updates on her.  I decided to sit down and make a list of some things she's doing now so that a few months down the road I can look back and remember her at this stage.   

• Walking  Running-EVERYWHERE!
• Climbing up on anything she can.  She is going to be our monkey!
• She can crawl up and down the stairs and is learning to walk up and down them holding onto someones hand.
• She has learned to take her socks off and put them back on.  Not always the right way but at least she gets them on her feet!  She's also working hard at putting her shoes on her feet too!
• She has recently learned to get her shirt off.  Jules still struggles with this at times so I'm not sure how Josie has managed it...just call her Houdini!

•  Josie has started to talk more (although her preferred method of communication still seems to be to scream and point) and now says mommy, daddy, please, thank you, milk, eat, water, more, bib, yogurt, banana, puff, all done, uh-oh, dog, duck, Jules (sounds like juice), yes and no (although she often just shakes her head), night night, binky (also known as a paci), diaper, wet wipe, shoe, book, ball, bubble, belly button, up, hi and bye bye, love you (although it only remotely sounds like it), excuse me (again, you have to be around her a lot to know exactly what she's saying!) and lots more.  Her vocabulary has just exploded in the last few weeks. 
• She can also makes animal sounds for a duck, cow, lion and monkey.  Its hilarious and I make her do them often!  :)
• Josie still signs a lot and can say please, thank you, eat, milk, more, monkey, book, diaper, and water.
• She's starting to give up her morning nap.  
• She sits in a booster now instead of the high chair.  Gives us a little more room in the kitchen!
• She's got 4 top teeth, 4 bottom teeth and is working on all 4 molars at the same time. FUN!

• She's got a generally happy disposition unless she wants something or if you take something from her and who doesn't get upset when that happens?!? 
• Her favorite game is playing peek-a-boo.  We play it multiple times a day!
• She has started to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star at night with me before I put her to bed.  It's the cutest thing!
• She LOVES her big sister and wants to do anything that Juliann tries to do.  
• Josie is our rough and tough kid.  She falls multiple times a day and usually just brushes her hands off and keeps going.  If she does hurt herself, she'll run over for me to kiss her "boo-boo."  The minute I'm done, she's off again!
• She's a mommy's girl.  :)  But she looks and acts like her daddy!
