Fall is almost here! Its probably my favorite season for many
reasons-cooler (but not cold) temperatures, football games, the smell of
pumpkin spice, and watching as the leaves turn beautiful colors just to
name a few. Labor Day always signals the unofficial start of Fall for me. School starts in Richmond after the Labor Day holiday, as does football! This year for Labor Day weekend we were at the lake with my family. I was already there with the girls due to power problems thanks to Hurricane Irene and David joined us later that weekend. I really enjoyed spending time with my family and being out on the lake. With the exception of a few thunderstorms, the weather was BEAUTIFUL! We took a few boat rides, played at the
beach and swam at the pool. Jules is a super fish these days and jumps
off the side, swims under water, and goes down the water slide.

We also celebrated Moms birthday during the Labor Day weekend. We got her a cookie cake (YUM!) and had her open her presents early because her actual birthday fell on Saturday and we all had football games.

Jules enjoyed her cookie cake!
The rest of my family (all Hokies) took Josie with them to watch the Hokies play while I took Jules to Charlottesville to watch UVa and meet up with David. We enjoyed tailgating with David's Aunt Susan, Uncle Bill and his cousin Patrick. Jules had a great time at the game and was super excited that UVa won (so were we)!
And Jules starts preschool soon-crazy! Hope you're all enjoying the start of your September!
