Time After Time

Wow-what a busy few weeks we have had! Now that I am back at work, finding time to sit down in front of the computer is almost impossible. I'll do my best not to bore everyone with all the details and will just highlight what we've been up to lately.

I wrote last about Mother's Day weekend and we've finally uploaded pictures from our visit with my family. Below is a picture of her with both of her great-grandmothers, Grandma Lowman and Grandma Sugars. Notice how Jules is asleep in the middle of a restaurant! What a good little girl!

My college roommate, Brittany, was in town from Seattle for a few days due to a friends wedding over Mother's Day weekend. She stopped by Tuesday night to meet Juliann.

The weekend after Mother's Day, David had to go out of town to Las Vegas for work. I know, poor thing. He left on Saturday morning early and didn't return until Wednesday evening. The weekend wasn't so bad, but Monday-Wednesday were not much fun. It is hard being a single parent and I am very thankful for David and all he does to help me out with Jules and around the house.

For Memorial Day weekend we visited with both sets of Juliann's grandparents. We left Richmond Friday evening and headed up to Wintergreen to visit David's parents.

Saturday afternoon we drove down to Smith Mountain Lake to visit my parents, sister, and brother. Juliann also took her first boat ride. She wore a little life vest and the rocking of the boat seemed to lull her to sleep.

This past week was crazy as usual. We've tried to relax a little here this weekend, but there's always something to do around the house. David continues to work on the porch....a year and counting! Speaking of counting, I am counting down the days until I'm done with work. 9 more days with kids and 1 teacher work day. Yay! Also, if we're talking about counting, today Juliann is 4 months old. Hard to believe she was once this little (and yellow). Now she's pushing 12 pounds if not more! We'll find out when we go for her check-up in 2 weeks.
